Rebuilding Our Local Food System in Southwest Colorado

Local Policy & Planning
The proposed County Land Use Code, planning and visioning initiatives, and other local policies affecting local farms and ranches, marketing opportunities, and food access for all in our community.
Farm to School
Comprehensive efforts to bring healthy local food into our schools, establish school gardens, and help children learn about our local farms and ranches and the products they grow.
Local Food System Assessment
A USDA-funded local study by Growing Partners of how our local food systems works now and what opportunities exist to strengthen it to serve all in our community.
Mesa Verde Country Guide to Local Sustainable Food & Fiber
A directory of local producers who are willing to sell directly to consumers, local food stores, and restaurants. Find food and fiber or get your farm or ranch listed as a supplier.
State & Federal Policy
Many things we would like to accomplish in strengthening our local food system will require changes in policy at the state and federal level.
